Abstract

Migration represents a current and relevant topic, which allows reflections on various aspects, in particular, the Venezuelan crisis, considered the second largest migratory crisis in the world, as the country is experiencing an unprecedented social and humanitarian collapse. In this context, the article addresses the Venezuelan crisis, the actions of the federal government, in particular, the interiorization strategy, and the results of the Welcome Operation. The data reveal that Brazilian humanitarian aid has generated very positive results, with the exception of the need for an improvement in public policies related to the social and economic integration of Venezuelan refugees, on the occasion of post-interiorization.
