A modernização das forças nucleares da Rússia: reposicionamento geopolítico

Este artigo tem como objeto de estudo o processo de modernização do aparato nuclear das Forças Armadas da Rússia, processo este pioneiro por ter colocado em operação as primeiras armas nucleares com propulsão hipersônica da história da humanidade. Por meio da utilização de abordagem qualitativa, fez-se uso de revisão bibliográfica a partir de literatura especializada em Ciência Política e História Militar, bem como de análise documental de diversos arquivos e publicações oficiais. Os objetivos de pesquisa tratam da relação causa-efeito deste processo de modernização. A análise divide-se em 5 pontos: o primeiro trata de análise da história militar russa e a visão geopolítica de Moscou; o segundo aborda a importância estratégica das Forças Nucleares na política de defesa russa; o terceiro expõe as especificidades da implementação do programa de modernização; o quarto trata das inovações da ciência militar russa, comparando-as com o aparato nuclear estadunidense; por fim, o quinto aborda a modernização dos meios já existentes. Em suas conclusões, o artigo evidencia a importância dos investimentos nas Forças Nucleares para o reposicionamento de Moscou na balança de poder internacional, bem como traz reflexões sobre o prognóstico de nova corrida armamentista entre as grandes potências no âmbito geopolítico.
